Bouncing Back from the Pandemic

CROWN re-launched in-person activities with a youth basketball skills clinic for 3rd through 8th grade boys and girls. 30 youth enjoyed the first night of the summer 10-week program, many returning to sports activities for the first time after being restricted by COVID-19 for over a year.
The clinic was skillfully run by the Ambassadors: a CROWN-sponsored Christ-focused amateur basketball team that travels to local, state, and national tournaments to compete and share the Gospel message. CROWN (Christ Reaching Out Witness Now) is a non-profit Christian organization that shares God's love through recreation events like these clinics, as well as through other ministries and programs.

We are going to be hosting 5 sessions specific to girls learning to basketball. The 90 minute session will be a practice and then a refereed scrimmage with teams mixing each session. CROWN is hosting a summer youth draft basketball league for 7th, 8th, and 9th graders! After multiple youth draft leagues in the fall, we have decided to integrate it into our summer league. This year we will replace our Summer 7th, 8th, and 9th grade divisions with a draft league. Players will sign up individually and will be drafted by a CROWN coach. It will be a good opportunity for the youth to play with new and old faces within our CROWN community. Please click on the link below for more information and to sign up.
